Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance a non-profit serving as the voice for older adults in Yolo County. Our mission is to promote the well-being of older adults through educational presentations for the public, collaboration of providers for a better-connected health and social system, and advocacy to be sure the full spectrum of services and supports are available, and people know how to find those services when needed. The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance is part of a statewide initiative, working to transform the system of care so that all Californians can age with dignity, choice and independence. We offer information, advocacy, and connection to services for seniors, their families and caregivers, and providers.

"Thank you a million times. Thanks to you, I could shower with total ease, confidence, and safety this morning. What a difference. I had not even realized to what extent I had adjusted little by little to an unsafe situation." - Grab Bar Recipient

Donate this Big Day of Giving to have your donation doubled, with matching funds going toward our grab bar program, allowing older and disabled adults to age safely and independently in their own home. $100 funds one grab for an individual in need. How many grab bars can you help us install?

Mission

Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance promotes the well-being of older adults through education, collaboration, and advocacy.

Needs

By contributing, you will allow YHAA to help as many older adults as possible. We need funds to expand our outreach and programming, reaching more people and expanding programs and services to more rural, underserved areas.

Here are some examples of how your generosity can help expand programs and directly benefit older adults:

$100 will install a grab bar to prevent a fall and protect the safety of older adults.

$500 will provide 50 hot meals and socializing opportunities to lower-income older adults.

$1000 will provide a free computer device, internet, and 10 weeks of digital training for a lower-income older adult.

We are also looking for volunteers for a number of our programs, including Mobile Meals for Healthy Aging, the Senior Technology and Resources program, and YHAA Phone Friends.

Equity Statement

Yolo Healthy Aging alliance actively recruits, engages, and serves members of our community from every race, culture, ethnicity, age, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and disability. We conduct outreach in English, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic.
