Building a pathway for kids to progress bike skills and engage in cycling as a lifelong activity

$210

raised by 3 people

$1,000 goal

Currently, there are few pathways for kids to be regularly involved in cycling and progress their skills in a community-building setting.

Clipped In for Life is redefining the learn-to-ride process with Grip Academy, an after school youth cycling program for kids in 8th grade and under that rewards progression using colored grips inspired by the martial arts belt system.

Grip Academy pushes beyond basic bike handling skills to engage kids in a lifelong activity that boosts physical and mental health, reinforces valuable life skills, and builds community.

Grip Academy launches in Fall 2024, and we need your help to get the gears turning!

Big Day of Giving (BDOG) is an annual 24-hour giving event that unites caring people to raise funds for nonprofits that strengthen El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties. This year, BDOG is on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Donors who like to plan ahead can make early gifts beginning Thursday, April 18.
