48 Years of Supporting Family Farmers
More than 90% of California’s farms and ranches are family-owned — including those in the Sacramento Region — and many are struggling to survive. As a result, we are losing 4 farms per day in the state.
Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) is working to reverse that trend. We partner directly with farmers to help them sell more fresh, healthy, locally grown food and build sustainable, profitable businesses. And we connect farmers with buyers across the food system and provide hands-on support—from growing food to sustainable pest management, food safety guidance to developing market-ready products. Just as important, we help build lasting relationships that open doors to new opportunities.
When family farms succeed, entire communities benefit. Local economies grow stronger, and more people gain access to fresh, nutritious food. And who doesn't like to eat more delicious food?!?!
Your support helps keep family farms in business — and ensures they continue to nourish California for generations to come. Join our efforts TODAY!
Our Impact. More than Numbers.
Here's some of what we've accomplished over the past year:
🥗 Helped farmers provide over 1.2 million meals in the Sacramento Region to hungry families.
🌧️ Provided direct financial relief and assistance to dozens of farmers impacted by disasters, including storms, drought, and wildfires throughout the Region.
🥦 Provided fresh, nutritious produce to local schools like Elk Grove Unified School District.
🌾 Supported the annual Small Farm Conference, including a (pictured above) gathering in Clarksburg.
🪱 Helped farmers build soil health and manage pest challenges like those in Foothill stone fruit.
And so much more great work to some with your support!
