The Folsom Rotary Foundation was incorporated on March 18, 1992 with the specific and primary purpose to receive gifts and bequests to create a permanent endowment fund to support health, education, and community based efforts to enrich the lives of residents in the City of Folsom. The Foundation makes it possible for the Rotary Club of Folsom to support the youth in our community, serve people in need, and provide for organizations dedicated to helping the less fortunate through grants, direct donations, and projects that foster community service involvement, friendship, and fellowship. The Club has served the Folsom community for over 60 years. The Foundation has also been entrusted to oversee donor directed funds from individuals and families to apply in the community. The Foundation is administratively established with a Board of Trustees who are nominated and elected by the members of the Rotary Club of Folsom. The Board meets at least quarterly and is governed as a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit entity with duly stated Articles of Incorporation.
The Folsom Rotary Foundation receives, manages, and distributes funding to and for local charitable, health, and education groups within the community as requested by the Rotary Club of Folsom. The Foundation supports programs, grants and projects of the Rotary Club of Folsom to make a lasting difference in Folsom for health, education and community.
$10,000 to purchase new dictionaries for every third grade student in the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District's elementary schools.
$5,000 to fund scholarships for Folsom High School and Folsom Lake High School students.
$2,500 to sponsor 50 high school juniors for annual youth leadership and ethics conference.
$7,500 to award teacher's grants (K-12) for classroom enrichment.
$15,000 to fund materials for work projects throughout the community.
