For thirteen years, hundreds of local nonprofits have raised millions of dollars and advanced their impact through Big Day of Giving, the Sacramento Region Community Foundation's annual giving event. Even more, those organizations have used Big Day of Giving to build a more cooperative, collaborative nonprofit sector!
During this year's Big Day of Giving, tens of thousands of people from around the capital area gave to the causes that matter most to them, raising an astonishing $13.8 million. Now, we urge everyone in the Sacramento region to get ready for 24 hours of generosity in 2026: Big Day of Giving will return on May 7, 2026.
