Mercy Multiplied exists to provide opportunities for all to experience God's unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Our residential program is voluntary, biblically-based, free-of-charge for women ages 13-32; our outpatient services are free-of-charge for women ages 13 and older; and our Outreach Services offer multiple resources online and onsite designed to equip men and women of all ages to live free and stay free in Jesus Christ.
The vision for Mercy Multiplied was launched in 1983 after Founder and President, Nancy Alcorn, spent eight years working for the government. Realizing that true transformation would never come as the result of any government system, Nancy started the first residential home in West Monroe, Louisiana. Mercy's residential counseling program helps young women ages 13-32 break free from life controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge.
Over the years, Mercy has expanded its United States residential locations to Nashville, Tennessee; St. Louis, Missouri; and Sacramento, California, with future plans to build a residential home in the panhandle of Florida. The organization has grown beyond the borders of the United States, including locations in the United Kingdom, and Canada. In September of 2020, Mercy Multiplied launched its first Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling in West Monroe, LA - right in the very location where the ministry began in 1983. This center offers a free-of-charge outpatient counseling program to women aged 13 and older. This center is a prototype and Mercy expects to expand these services to other locations in 2021.
In 2016, after seeing thousands of lives transformed in the residential program, Mercy decided that it was time to adapt its highly successful counseling model into an 8-week discipleship resource so men and women of all ages, at any point in their walk with the Lord, could find new levels of freedom and healing in Christ. In addition to the Keys to Freedom study, our Outreach Services also train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, and other practical resources. Our goal is to share the life transforming principles used in our residential program to empower men and women of all ages to live in freedom.
Remaining ever faithful to its three founding principles: (1) accept girls free-of-charge, (2) always give at least ten percent of all donations to other organizations and ministries, and (3) do not take any state or federal funding or any money that interferes with the freedom to share Christ, Mercy has seen thousands of lives transformed through the power of Christ.
