$215,000 Goal

Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada provides safety and shelter to over 8,000 men, women and children every night. The life-changing work that takes place throughout our programs is made possible by caring staff, local partners and donors who provide hope to seniors who have suffered abuse or neglect, veterans who deserve adequate housing, families who would otherwise sleep in their cars or in motels, and individuals facing homelessness who need the tools to get them to self-sufficiency.

Will you join this movement and help one more individual or family leave homelessness behind for good?

Mission

Volunteers of America's mission is to change individual lives, instill hope, increase self-worth, and facilitate independence through quality housing, employment, and related supportive services.

Needs

By making a donation to Volunteers of America on the Big Day of Giving, you are giving hope to hundreds of men, women, and children every day in the greater Sacramento area.

Our focus for the funds being raised by this campaign is to create more opportunities for affordable housing and shelters.

For over 125 years, VOA has been helping people move from homelessness to independence with love and dignity. We meet individuals where they are at, in the midst of homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles. We recognize that everyone has a story, and everyone needs help in order to reach their full potential. The VOA staff is empowered to heal the whole person by creating individual plans to independence. Over time, those plans have changed hundreds of lives.

Our partnerships with funders, public and private organizations, and individual donors amplify the impact we can make in the community. By giving to Volunteers of America, you are showing your neighbors that they are loved and cared for, giving them hope for a brighter future.
