Since 2015 ALMS provides mentor and soft-skills,job readinesstraining - work ethic, character development and communication skills, and we need your help! Be a part of the vital services we provide to high school and out-of-school youth who have lost hope. Hope is not just a word, it's a lifeline, and young people often find themselves in the grip of anxiety, depression, and loneliness. High School students frequently express fear about their future, lack confidence in their ability to transition into adult life, and have no dreams. ALMS is here to challenge them, to help them envision a brighter future, believe in their potential, and avoid the pitfalls of distraction.
ALMS engages youth in a conversation that not only instills hope but also helps them gain communication skills during the discussion and develop social skills in the community. Your support can make a significant difference in their lives!
In our budget, more than 80% of all funds goes to programing and we use volunteers for most of the services we provide. With a 7,000+ square foot clubhouse for youth, your contribution, whether through donation or volunteering, will make a significant difference in the lives of these young people. Our goal is to reach 100 students by the end of 2025, and each one will benefit from your support. In today's financial climate, hope is more important to the next generation than ever. Be a part of the solution. Give or volunteer.
Jayne Williams, Founder, and Executive Director, shares the importance of becoming community volunteers who support our youth as mentors. Angela Lynn, Lynn Capital Partners, Board member, and Chris Stamm, Retired Salesman, ALMS Mentor, echo this sentiment. Their words are complemented by the wisdom of Jan Arnold, ALMS Mentor, age 82. Let's be a part of the urgent solution to our kids' issues, including avoiding homelessness, fighting mental health issues, and finding employment. Please give to this exciting grassroots organization.
1. Make a gift (starting as small as $20!) to All Leaders Must Serve.
2. Spread the word. Tell your friends and post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn about this organization. This is an opportunity to be part of something really, really big. Please help us get there!
Since 2015, we work towards addressing the social, emotional, and financial challenges faced by youth. However, due to the pandemic, social media and isolation, many young people in our community are struggling to transition into adulthood. Some have been isolated for a long time, even before the pandemic. Matthew, ALMS' Intern, was one of those students. He shared his story during the 2023 ALMS Annual Dinner. Although this is a short version of his story, it highlights the difficulties young people face in today's world. Today Matthew is a student at Chico State University - Congratulations!
Nidhi shares the difficulty of a high-achiever, and immigrant. She has so much to offer our community as a leader and professional; yet, she almost gave up a couple years ago. We can't afford to lose any of our youth! Please give so ALMS can reach 100 students in 2025 - doubling our number from 2024!
Giving Activity
Mission
All Leaders Must Serve (ALMS) is a mentor organization that empowers young adults, ages 15-25 through job readiness soft skills (work ethic, character development, and communication skills) to become self-sufficient, prepared for living-wage jobs, and to give back to their communities.
Needs
In 2025, ALMS returned to Cache Creek High, Pioneer High, and Woodland High School after partnering with Woodland Joint Unified School District. This year, we served 30 students from February to April! The job readiness program, similar to the initial 2015 program, has made a significant difference in the lives of these students. The 2015 program saw a 60% increase in students finding employment and a 40% improvement in their academic performance. However, with the cuts in education, ALMS will need the community's support to continue reaching young people in all the schools, including out-of-school youth and those referred by the District Attorney's Office for first-time, low-offenders.
