We serve those who serve. Two years into the pandemic community leaders, teachers, health providers, parents, pastors, social workers and others are realizing they can't continue doing the work they do alone. We provide pathways to connect these leaders with others and the spiritual practices that allow them to continue using their gifts in this world.
Bread of Life offers spiritual direction, programs, and gatherings for those with a desire to discover the dimensions of a deeper life explicitly connected to “Something More.” We use an adult learning model that provides context and facilitates reflection on a topic’s relevance to one’s own life. Our hope is to offer a window into a generous and generative way of experiencing what it means to be fully human and beloved. We have a heart for “serving those who serve” in faith communities, non-profits, healthcare, public and social services. Those who come share a desire to explore with others their personal human story for meaning and purpose as part of a larger spiritual story in which the living Spirit of God is fully present.
Many leaders in different groups, organizations, and communities choose our services for the specific purpose of enhancing their ability to serve others. Bread of Life is governed by an independent and dedicated Board of Directors, providing leadership and strategic direction. As a result of a strategic planning process completed in 2021, it was decided that the organization will focus on what we do best- spiritual formation for those who serve.
Bread of Life offers community and practices that support the intentional spiritual journey toward fullness of life and courageous offering of gifts to the world.
Scholarship Fund for people interested in attending trainings, workshops and classes or participating in spiritual direction but unable to afford the fee. This is especially true for our upcoming training for new spiritual directors as we seek to be more inclusive and expand the demographics of who is able to offer this service. (Total need: $25,000)
Funding to support our expansion of staffing to offer increased programs. (Total need: $35,000)
