$15,000 Goal

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue was founded in 2013 with the goal of saving unwanted and forgotten dogs. Our focus is primarily bully breeds with major medical issues. We take on the most difficult cases because we see the value in every dog’s life.

Our ability to provide critical medical care for these dogs comes from donations from our generous supporters. The people who provide any amount of support to our rescue efforts know that they have participated in a group effort to save another life.

Because our rescue is foster based, we do not have a central facility where the dogs are housed while they wait for their forever homes. While the dogs are in foster care, the rescue provides everything from food, medications, toys, beds, treats, kennels, and any other supplies the foster needs.

Therefore, in addition to the money that is donated in response to our urgent pleas for assistance for a critical medical condition, we are in constant need of support to provide the necessary supplies to our fosters for the duration of each dog’s stay in our care before adoption. Every single dog in our rescue must be spayed or neutered, and they all need monthly flea and heartworm prevention, food, vaccinations, routine medical treatment, and general necessities.

On this Big Day of Giving, we hope that you will consider donating to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue so we can continue to rescue and foster as many dogs as possible. Every dollar makes a difference in the life of a dog who has no other options after humans have failed him. We cannot do this work without supporters like you, and you can take comfort in knowing that your choice to donate to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue today went directly to save the life of a dog that needed you. Thank you.

Mission

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation dedicated to rescuing Northern California bully breed dogs with significant medical needs by providing medical care and foster homes, and then placing them with qualified, loving, forever families.

Needs

Our critical needs fall into three categories, all of which go to save the lives of dogs in desperate situations: (1) veterinary care; (2) boarding expenses; and (3) training services.

(1) Veterinary care:

Our medical expenses are higher than most rescues because the dogs that find themselves in our care are often the dogs that are suffering with serious injuries and illnesses. Our veterinary expenses regularly range from between $20,000 and $30,000 per month! Therefore, donations for critical medical care top the list of our needs.

(2) Boarding expenses:

Because our rescue is foster-based, we often cannot take a dog into our care if no one is available to foster him. Therefore, one of our needs is to increase our funding so we can afford to board more dogs in need until we can arrange a foster home.

(3) Training services:

We work with a trainer to help each of our dogs integrate into their foster home and then their forever home. We also pay a trainer to work with dogs who have complicated behavioral needs so they can be successfully adopted. We need funds to pay for our trainers to work with our dogs without impacting our ability to provide medical care for them as needed.
