Asian Resources, Inc (ARI) has been serving the Sacramento region for over 40 years.  With a budget of $3 million in funding, we have been able to provide various programs and services to the community while continuously striving to meet the needs of Sacramento County's most disadvantaged population.

At ARI, our goal is to be the catalyst that connects people to jobs and resources that would lead them to self-sufficiency.  To achieve this goal, we have designed programs that provide a wide range of benefits to our community. From pre-employment skills training to job placement, from English-as-a-Second Language proficiency to working proficiency, from assisting with their first job search in the United States to guiding through the career change path, we work to ensure that we have various programs that meet our community's needs.  Our programs are developed, implemented, and staffed by individuals who are culturally and linguistically skilled to ensure participation from diverse communities.

Mission

Asian Resources, Inc. (ARI) is a nonprofit community-based organization established in 1980 dedicated to providing multiple social services needed in our community and empowering everyone we serve to become a vital part of our changing, diverse society.

Needs

For this year's BDOG, we are fundraising for ARI Youth Executive Academy Creative Edge (YEACE) program.

After two successful years of Youth Executive Academy (YEA), ARI is expanding its focus with the Youth Executive Academy Creative Edge (YEACE), integrating industry-specific opportunities into our program.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (2022), the creative economy provided 5.2 million jobs nationwide and contributed $1.1 trillion to the US economy, accounting for 4.3% of GDP. YEACE empowers Sacramento County youth by equipping them with critical workforce skills and real-world industry experience in this growing sector.

Building on our proven program curriculum, which includes growth mindset, goal setting, emotional intelligence, financial literacy, effective communication, cultural immersion, and entrepreneurship, YEACE adds a foundational workforce readiness component. This includes professional communication, resume building, networking and workplace etiquette to prepare youth for career success.

After completing these sessions, participants will undergo specialized technical training in their chosen creative economy field, gaining hands-on experience that aligns with their career goals. ARI will place them in paid internship with local creative businesses or through ARI's Digital Literacy Navigators Program, applying their new skills in real-world settings.

To showcase their achievements, each participants will complete a short video or marketing project in collaboration with their employer, showcasing their abilities and industry knowledge. This practical, hands-on experience ensures they graduate with marketable skills, professional networks, and career-ready expertise.

By bridging critical training gaps and addressing workforce development challenges, YEACE provides underserved youth with the tools, mentorship, and industry experience needed for sustainable careers. ARI remains committed to empowering the next generation of creative leaders and ensuring California's economic growth and innovation remains strong for years to come.
