Bowman Education Foundation (BEF) has supported a variety of projects over the years, including classroom and enrichment supplies as well as facilities improvements that directly enhance students' learning. The classroom projects we fund give teachers the opportunity to offer a richer learning experience and would not be available without the foundation's support. The types of classroom improvements we have funded in past years include overhead LCD projectors, voice amp systems and SMART boards® for every classroom, flex seating, computer mice, musical instruments, library books, and ceramics supplies. We've also funded online curriculum programs to help students build 21st-century skills and improvement projects to athletic facilities to enhance students' experience in larger-group settings outside the classroom.
It’s our mission to provide essential resources to the Ackerman Charter School District, ensuring a challenging and enriching educational experience that maximizes the learning potential of every student.
We're looking for support to help fund some exciting initiatives, including:
Wall Padding in the Big Gym: This investment will decrease risk of injuries and will further improve sound quality and reduce echo, creating a safer and better environment for our students and staff during activities and events.
Play Structure Project: We’re starting on a multi-year campaign to raise funds to replace one of the school's aging play structures.
Support for Field Trips: BEF strives to help decrease the cost of field trips, which provide necessary and important enrichment for our students of all ages.
