$10,000 Goal

I started Coco Precious Fur Baby Rescue because I adopted a 2 year old Husky mix named Chocolate (coco) from Roseville SPCA over 22 years ago and he was the best dog ever.  From that day forward I have been helping volunteering and Fostering for other Rescues. I was at a  event for animals and I meet Melody Chen and Teri Rickett and they changed my life.  I knew from that moment I wanted to help save unwanted and abused animals from the street and Shelters.

Our Main focus is rescuing  dogs from shelters that are at risk of being Euthanized .  We Have had over 7 Moms with babies that we have pulled .  Our goal is to educate and save as many as we can and spay and neuter micro-chip and vaccinated.

Giving Activity

Mission

At our core, we are unwaveringly committed to rescuing and providing support for dogs facing homelessness and those in public shelters, especially those deemed at risk. Our mission is to ensure that every canine companion receives the love, care, and chance for a better life that they so rightfully deserve. At Coco Precious Fur Baby Rescue , our mission is to work with dogs to who are deemed unadoptable from local shelters and help them prepare to join a new family. We pull these dogs from Sacramento Shelters as well as Fresno, Stockton and Medera Shelters. We also prepare these animals with training so they can transition into a stable home. Sometimes it takes a few days, sometimes it takes years, depending on the trauma they have faced. But we never give up no matter how long it takes.

Needs

Our adoption fees help us pay our veterinarian bills, but we rely on donations from dog lovers and people like you to really keep us going. Sometimes we have dogs in our care that have specialized medical needs, which can be expensive.

We intend to make an impact on the number of dogs euthanized each year for their lack of adoptability. We hope to give the dogs time and training needed, along with vet care and social skills, and then begin searching for families that are willing to work with and help these dogs move forward into more permanent homes.

We are always looking for new foster families - Can you open your home to a dog that needs some love?

Volunteers who would like to help foster families with bathing, walking and just giving TLC to our animals.

Help with Food, toys, crates, blankets, beds, enrichment toys, leashes/collars/ID tags, puppy pads, puppy formula.. this is just a short list of some of the things needed to help our dogs. Your monetary donation will go towards providing all of these things, or you can check out our wish lists to help!

Equity Statement

At Coco Precious Fur Baby Rescue, we are committed to providing equal opportunities for all animals, volunteers, staff and supporters. As a home based, foster-only rescue, we believe that every animal-weather sick, injures or healthy-deserves a chance at a loving and safe life.

Our Mission is rooted in compassion, education and advocacy. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where animals receive the care they need, and our volunteers and supporters feel valued and empowered. We recognize that equity in animal rescue means ensuring that senior dogs, special-needs animals, and pregnant mommas and those facing medical challenges receive the same level of commitment and resources as any other rescue pet.

Through education, outreach, and community support, we work to break down the barriers to responsible pet ownership, foster understanding, and promote lifelong learning. We are dedicated to fairness, inclusivity, and respect in all aspects of our work, ensuring that both animals and the people who care for them have the opportunities and support they need to thrive!
