The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMI Yolo County serves to carry out this commitment at the local level, offering education and support classes, managing a helpline for people seeking assistance with mental health resources, providing direct support (e.g., meals and activities), and advocating on mental health-related issues. The organization is grateful for and reliant on a large group of dedicated volunteers who provide thousands of hours of services and leadership and deliver many of the organization’s programs.

NAMI Yolo County provides advocacy, support, education, and public awareness so that all individuals and families who are affected by mental health conditions can build better lives.
NAMI Yolo County seeks to raise $17,000 to help support mental health in our community by providing peer-led support groups, educational classes, and direct services to people living with mental illness and their families. Your gift will help NAMI Yolo County continue our important work, providing support and resources locally, because no one should have to face mental illness alone.
We cannot do it without you! Our donors make it possible for us to provide support groups, classes, and presentations at no cost to individuals who need them.
This season your support will...
1. Fund our outreach programs, allowing us to bring awareness of our programs to more people throughout Yolo County.
2. Provide training for 10 support group facilitators so we can offer more no-cost opportunities for people impacted by mental illness to build a community of support in a safe, confidential environment; because there is strength in the support of a community.
3. Provide training for 10 class instructors who will use their experience navigating mental health challenges to help others in their journey by providing evidence-based information that will educate and empower participants to advocate for themselves or a loved one.
4. Bring presentation programs to schools, community groups, and local events as part of NAMI's effort to change attitudes and stereotypes about what mental health conditions are like and how we view the people who have them.
5. Inspire hope to those in Yolo County who are affected by mental illness so they know - You Are Not Alone.
Your generosity makes it possible for individuals who are struggling with their mental health and their families to find support, build community, and access mental health resources.
NAMI Yolo County actively recruits, engages, and serves members of our community from every race, culture, ethnicity, age, religion, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and disability.
