$100,000 Goal

Contributions are at the heart of everything we do for children at Shriners Children’s Northern California. Our hospital is the destination of care within the greater healthcare community for children who need treatment for acute burns; traumatic injuries, such as brain trauma or spinal cord injuries; cleft lip; chest wall anomalies; bladder and bowel disorders; and broad range of complex orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal conditions, such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida.

There are no barriers to care at Shriners Children's Northern California. All children, 18 years or younger, who would benefit from our specialty pediatric healthcare services are admitted for treatment, regardless of the family's ability to pay. Each child benefits from a custom course of care designed by an expert medical team focused on a single goal - transforming the lives of children. Contributions to Shriners Children's Northern California assure we can continue to provide advanced specialty healthcare, conduct innovative research, and educate future generations of caregivers.

Giving Activity

Mission

At Shriners Children's, we are devoted to making a positive difference in the lives of children, their families and the communities in which they live. Our mission is to:

- Provide the highest quality care to children with neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, burns, and other special healthcare needs.

- Provide for the education of physicians and other healthcare professionals.

- To discover new knowledge that improves the quality of care and quality of life of children and families.

Needs

Because Shriners Children's Northern California depends upon charitable contributions to provide our patients with the fully supported, family-centered, multidisciplinary care, gifts for general operations ensure we can meet the needs of all patients and means contributors are a part of every facet of care for every child.

Transforming children's lives is our singular focus and donors make it possible for our hospital to admit every child, 18 years or younger, who would benefit from our specialty pediatric healthcare services regardless of the family's ability to pay or insurance status.

Care is customized for each child, designed by an expert medical team and supported by a broad array of enhanced programs and services. Gifts for general operations help us continue to provide specialty healthcare for as along as a child needs, conduct innovative research that benefits children worldwide, and educate future generations of caregivers.

During 2024, Shriners Children's Northern California will manage close to 30,000 patient visits and more than 2,200 complex surgery sessions.

In addition to financial contributions, the hospital welcomes in-kind donations that positively impact the patient experience, including new toys, books, clothing, teen gifts and more.

Every gift matters because every child matters. There are many paths to giving, which allows donors to contribute to Shriners Children's in a way that is meaningful to them.
