The mission of TruKidz is to empower students through development, leadership, and service. Our current program provides ongoing hygiene kits to unhoused students and students in need in schools. We have districts that we serve in California that have between 400 to 1,000 students who are unhoused. We also have a program where we work with the leadership teachers identify student Ambassadors from schools to represent Trukidz. The students would receive a letter of recommendation after the school season is over for their portfolio.

Their is a tremendous need to support the homeless students and students in need in schools. 100 percent of the schools we had reached out to have requested this program in their schools. Other schools in the area are now reaching out directly to Trukidz because they have heard of the programs.
Unrestricted funding raised through the Big Day of Giving allows us to provide support to the schools by providing the hygiene kits directly to the homeless students and students in need.
Hygiene kits include:
Toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, comb, soaps, cinch bag, feminine pads, toothbrushes, hair ties, deodorant wipes, ChapSticks, etc.
We are currently in need of operational funds to hire staff as we continue to support the schools in the Sacramento, Placer, and Yolo areas.
