Ukrainian American House is an organization committed to serving the Ukrainian-American community, particularly through our refugee support programs, community education and emotional support services in the Sacramento area. We believe that with your support, we can make a significant impact on the lives of Ukrainian refugees.
We are a Sacramento based non-profit organization founded in 2018 by Americans of Ukrainian origin. At the start of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine in 2022, we focused our mission towards providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian refugees in California. Sacramento county is home to one of the largest Slavic populations in the U.S., with estimates ranging from 100,000 and even as high as 300,000. According to the Public Policy Institute of California, Sacramento is now known to have the second highest concentration of Ukrainian immigrants in the country (after New York). And since the start of the war in 2022, it is estimated that more than 20,000 refugees have resettled in Sacramento. We are dedicated to providing essential support and resources to those Ukrainian refugees who have been displaced due to the ongoing crisis.
Currently, our main focus is providing vital support to Ukrainian refugees in the Sacramento area. Through housing assistance, job placement, community education, emotional support services and essential resources, we are helping families rebuild their lives. Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to make a real difference—but the need continues to grow. Every dollar counts in providing critical aid and opportunities for those seeking safety and a fresh start. Don’t stay indifferent—your support changes lives!
