Giving Activity

Mission

Atrium 916 is a collaborative hub for creative, sustainable entrepreneurs—a Creative Innovation Center for Sustainability.

We engineer impactful systems, solutions, art installations, and products with and for the community, building the circular economy that serves the community. It is our mission to foster omni-considerate solutions for a kind, creative, and sustainable future for all species and their environments.

We incubate Sacramento Creative leaders and pilot innovative local community solutions to lead us to a kind, equitable, sustainable, and creative future. Sacramento's hub for creatives to gather, brainstorm, connect, and test possible sustainable solutions is in historic Old Sacramento, open to creatives and the public five days a week. Atrium 916 serves over 850 local creatives in the greater Sacramento region, providing crucial support and testing grounds for sustainable solutions to flourish.

We pilot, test, and build systems that drive impact and solve problems sustainably. We are the doers who come to the table with community-driven solutions and the capability to implement them. Atrium 916 is a hub of people, creativity, ideas, and solutions that accelerate the circular economy.

Needs

Short term goals:

Due to recent vandalism, we critically need to update our patio for safety with new seating and additional security. Adding more upcycled tables and patio furniture will help us accommodate the growing amount of creatives and visitors we serve. Additional security cameras with expanded wifi access and more interactive art activations are also needed to help maintain and grow our burgeoning community.

Long term goal:

To build Northern California's first of its kind interactive Sustainability Center designed to cultivate and implement groundbreaking creative collaborations, initiatives and legislation towards sustainability in the arts, and our community.

Equity Statement

The Atrium is committed to fostering resilient communities, economies, and ecosystems, building a kind, sustainable future for all beings and their respective environments. We are devoted to innovating and redesigning systems to produce a creative, inclusive, adaptive, regenerative, and omni-considerate future that works for all.

Deep-rooted, systemic diversity is essential to our ability to survive and thrive. We understand significant disparities persist in economic opportunity and environmental well-being in our region and beyond. We nourish and foster ideas that grow from within our community because community-driven solutions are destined to thrive when given the necessary resources and support. We commit to continually innovate to be that support.

The Atrium acknowledges that equity does not currently exist in the arts or environmental efforts and is committed to advocating for equitable resources to support and serve multiple diverse populations. We will be persistent in lowering barriers of entry and diversifying means of communication. Atrium is committed to proactive outreach to multiple diverse communities to support involvement and engagement in opportunities, programs, and resources and provide accessibility and inclusivity in all aspects.
