We plan to develop infill garden courts, a historic housing model in the Central Valley, on .4 to 1.0+ acre lots that provide permanent homes for a mix of very-low income, and low-income residents of Woodland CA. These permanent affordable home rents will cost no more than 30% of the household’s income. Quality of life amenities including: trees, gardens, recreation and play spaces will be part of the community. There will be a Commons Building and the homes are designed with accessibility in mind. There will be on-site management. HUD Project Based Vouchers have been secured to finance the site operations for 20-40 years.
Social workers and life coaches will offer activities and services responsive to the needs of the community. Community members, including members of the faith community, will come alongside residents helping them experience welcome and worth…and emotional and spiritual well-being.
