$15,000 Goal

Davis Arts Center fosters a creative community through classes, workshops and outreach, where students develop a strong work ethic, respect for their craft, and the ability to closely examine the world around them. Through artistic practice, our students embrace self-discovery, build perseverance in the face of challenges, and experience joy in the process of envisioning and making art.

Since 1960, we have brought creativity to hundreds of thousands of people through classes and events at our building in Davis and across the Yolo County and greater Sacramento region. Our creative impact is made possible through our partnerships with youth and family serving non-profit organizations, school districts, Parent Teacher Associations, and local businesses.

Mission

Davis Arts Center believes that all children deserve access to a quality arts education that fosters creativity, curiosity, resilience and empathy for others.

Needs

In 2024, Davis Arts Center changed our mission to empower our community by ensuring every child and family, regardless of background or circumstances, has access to transformative arts education and creative experiences. In this light we created our new Community Arts Studio where we host free and low cost workshops, classes and events. Our robust scholarship program also enables DAC to provide broader access to Yolo County youth and families with over $5000 in scholarships awarded in 2024. In 2025, we will expand our free community workshop series, offer more free and low costs community events, and hope to double the impact of our scholarship program. Your donation will make an immediate impact on our scholarship fund and the ability to expand our community programming, providing essential access to quality arts education for all.

Equity Statement

Davis Arts Center believes that art has the power to unite, inspire, and transform communities. We are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone can thrive. We strive to remove barriers to participation by ensuring our programs, services, and opportunities are accessible to all members of our community.
