EGMTC has been providing quality theater experiences for youth in the Sacramento area for over 20 years! We are completely volunteer-run with no paid staff. We are an inclusive group with participants from Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado Counties. We charge low participation fees so all children may participate. We have never turned a performer away for their inability to pay. We take seriously the challenge to help each performer develop their talents and have meaningful time on stage. The most satisfying part of our efforts is watching a performer's confidence and abilities grow. Even after leaving the group as they age out of our program, performers come back to share how EGMTC changed their lives.
Our company functions because of the volunteer efforts of the involved families. We are training the community about the backstage, front of house, creative, and technical aspects of theater one family at a time. Show Registration fills up in minutes to hours, and we would appreciate your support as we move to make this experience available to more performers! We don't have a home space to rehearse or perform, and contributions towards that goal would make such a difference!
EGMTC provides quality musical theater experience for children and teenagers in the Sacramento area. We strive to keep costs low so all performers can participate. We thrive on our all-volunteer model where families work together to create amazing shows!
EGMTC's biggest expense is our venues. We rent rehearsal, storage, and performance space. Rental costs continue to raise, and we need help covering those costs so we can maintain our goal of providing a low-cost, high-quality theater experiences for more children and teens in the Sacramento area.
Another major expense for our company is the sound and lighting equipment. Quality lighting and sound help make each show magical. We appreciate your donations that will allow us to purchase more microphones and quality equipment.
EGMTC is an inclusive group. We have performers from Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, and El Dorado counties. We welcome performers of all ethnicities, genders, and abilities. Some of the most satisfying efforts of the group come from helping performers soar despite physical or mental limitations.
