Cofounders Jen Kalsbeek, Alison Gardey and Ron Henke established the Infant Parent Center in 2008. Our staff have specialized training in Infant Mental Health as well as Perinatal Mental Health with an average of over 15 years working with families.
Ron created most of the children’s services in El Dorado County with serving and training for over 40 years. His mission continues to carry on with many therapists, social workers and teachers throughout the United States.
Alison Gardey provided specialized therapy and advocacy for families and young children for over 20 years through the non-profit arena. She continues to carry on her great work in her private practice.
Jen Kalsbeek continues to lead a team of dedicated therapists providing support to families and caregivers to make healthy changes supporting and strengthening the family's social emotional development, growth and healing.
We believe that parents/caregivers are the "experts" and the therapeutic process is an opportunity to help empower caregivers to make healthy changes that will support and strengthen the family's social emotional development, which we believe, is the foundation for growth and healing. We offer our services in both English and Spanish.
We are in need of donations to continue to serve families who are not funded through some our grants or contracts. We also have a high need for families needing services from Sacramento and Amador counties who we are not able to fund and would like the opportunity to serve.
We are currently in need of continual funds for innovative trainings.
