In 1998, Keaton's Child Cancer Alliance was established in memory of 5-year-old, Keaton Raphael, after his 9-month courageous battle with Neuroblastoma. Over the past 25 years, we have loved and supported thousands of children and families impacted by pediatric cancer.  We continue to honor Keaton's Legacy as he remains our "Hero of Heroes".

When a family hears the words, "Your child has cancer," their entire world is turned upside down and their lives forever changed.  In Northern CA, an estimated 900 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, yet few receive critical supportive services for the entire family, which often prevents them from adhering to their treatment regimens.

Our unique, Keaton’s Family Navigator Programs provide love, compassion, and support beginning with the initial assessment of each family’s unique needs. Our vital services mitigate the adverse effects of childhood cancer through a trauma-informed approach.

We create a resilient community of parents, cancer warriors, and siblings by offering the following services:

Navigation to local community resources, ranging from nutrition to travel to creative solutions

Connection with Keaton’s Family, uniting those with similar experiences through peer-to-peer support

Collaboration with hospital and community partners, addressing every family’s unique needs

Financial Support for basic needs, including grants, scholarships, and financial education to allow parents-guardians to focus on the health and wellbeing of their child(ren)

Keaton's Family Navigator Programs are designed to help deliver better quality, efficient care and ensure that access to care is for all. As confirmed by our hospital partners, we are an invaluable resource, eliminating or reducing barriers to give these children battling cancer the best possible outcomes

Together We Fight. Together We Overcome. Together We Heal.

Mission

To support children with cancer and their families with emotional, educational, and financial support while increasing awareness and funding research toward a cure.

Needs

Childhood cancer doesn’t pause for anything - and its impact reaches the entire family.

As the number of families referred to Keaton's Child Cancer Alliance for supportive services continues to increase each year, with over 100 new cases last year, we anticipate the demand to serve more families in our region.

There is also an increase in relapses of childhood cancer diagnoses, with far too many cancer warriors receiving their angel wings.

Your gift helps us provide critical support for local children battling cancer and their families.

Every gift brings Hope, Strength, and Healing:

• Gas cards to get a child to and from treatment

• Grocery support during hospital stays

• Hope Chests - family care packages filled with joy, love, and essentials

• Emotional care and connection to help families navigate this new journey

• Emergency financial assistance grants to help families facing lost income, mounting bills, and overwhelming expenses

Your gift brings support to a child, their siblings, and caregivers, reminding them they are never alone in this fight.

Join us is offering love, hope, and healing to children and families battling childhood cancer in Northern California.
