Needs
Unrestricted funding enables Midtown Parks to direct investments where it is needed most. Whether it goes towards capital improvements such as Sutter's Fort Lighting and art investments at Truitt Bark Park or to the free health, wellness and community programming offered at all 6 parks in Midtown, your donation truly makes a difference.
Funding designated to a specific park, program or project enables Midtown Parks to provide robust experiences for both residents and visitors in our community. With the option to indicate where you want your donation to go, you can ensure that you are directly supporting what speaks to your heart. Do you have children and want to support kids’ programming at Fremont Park? Do you want to support opportunities for pet-friendly programming at Truitt Bark Park? Or perhaps you would like to focus on senior programming at Marshall Park? Let us know and we'll direct your donation there.
Midtown Parks is actively seeking partnerships and collaboration opportunities. One of our most successful collaborations has been around our annual wellness program—Fresh Air: Midtown Parks, which provides a variety of free health and wellness programming throughout the week across the parks of Midtown. Since its start in 2019 this program has expanded to 5 of the 6 parks in Midtown and hosts over 9.6K attendees each year. This year we will once again be partnering with multiple local organizations, such as Yoga Moves Us, to bring these free fitness classes to the Midtown community.
Additionally, since 2020, Midtown Parks has made investments in several park improvements including all weather umbrellas at Truitt Bark Park, a basketball court revitalization at Muir Park and several art installations across multiple parks. We are looking to expand on these existing partnerships in 2024 and hope to bring in art-related activities, kids-focused programming, and much more. We invite you to reach out if you have an idea and would like to discuss more ways we can help bring those goals to fruition.
