Seven Rotary Clubs in the Sacramento area came together to build a house for families whose child is being treated at UCD Medical center or another approved local hospital. The home was built by Rotarians, community volunteers, and private businesses who donated hundreds of hours of labor, thousands of dollars' worth of materials, and monetary contributions. The Foundation owns, manages, and maintains Oak Park Rotary House. Today, eight Sacramento area Rotary clubs continue to support Oak Pak Rotary House with contributions of money, time, and labor.

Mission

Rotary House is a single family, two-bedroom, one bath, wheelchair accessible residence for families whose child or relative is being treated at UCD Medical Center or an approved local hospital. The house is provided at no cost to the families. The goal is to serve families that require long-term stays lasting several months or more.

Needs

Funds to support cost of maintaining the home.

Materials, appliances, and sundries to maintain the home (such as irrigation material, bark, fencing, paint, microwave ovens, mattresses and linens).

Furniture to replace worn items, such as sofas, beds, chairs, dinette sets.

Assistance with maintaining website, Facebook, and Twitter, and with maintaining and repairing household related appliances and systems.
