The Sacramento Regional Coalition to End Homelessness (SRCEH) was founded in 2013 and received our nonprofit status 501(c)(3) in April 2014.
SRCEH is the only homeless coalition in the region and our membership and supporters are currently and formerly people experiencing homelessness, direct service providers, homeless, housing, and civil rights advocates and the interfaith community.
We have 17 organizational founding members, including Cottage Housing, First Steps Communities, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento, Hope Cooperative, Loaves & Fishes, Lutheran Social Services of Northern CA, Mutual Housing of CA, Paratransit, Salvation Army, Sacramento Housing Alliance, Sacramento Self Help Housing, TLCS, Turning Point Community Partners, Volunteers of America, Women's Empowerment, Waking the Village and Wellspace. Additionally, we have 188 individual donors and support from 16 foundations and financial institutions.
2023 Accomplishments:
- issued 15 action alerts on local and state homeless advocacy issue
- Testified to city council and board of supervisors over 15 times
- 120 media interviews [Sac Bee; SN&R; Capitol Public Radio]

- Serve on Public Health Advocates First Response Transformation Campaign's Equity Advisory Group
- Serve on the Delta Stewardship Council's Environmental Justice Working Group
- Held the 10th Homeless Memorial - candlelight vigil - at City Hall - to remember the over 200 unhoused neighbors we lost in 2023
- Published 8th Sacramento County Homeless Deaths Report
- researched and published 2023 Homeless Employment Report- a survey of 400 unhoused people in Sacramento
- worked with Public Health Advocate to create the map- Impact of City Infrastructure of Sacramento's Critical Infrastructure Ban on Unhoused People to educate City Council to change the critical infrastructure list
- created the City/County Criminalization Dashboard to monitor the implementation of Measure O
- wrote Design Against Humanity: Examining Anti-Homeless Architecture for the National Coalition for the Homeless
- created the Peoples Guide to Health, Welfare and Other Services: Sacramento City & County website: www.peoplesguidesac.org
- Serve on National Homeless Mortality Working Group to create a toolkit for other community groups to create a homeless deaths report
- Continue to serve on the Board of Directors, National Coalition for the Homeless [DC] and am Co-Chair of the Civil Rights Committee
