Community Lactation Assistance

Our Community Lactation Assistance Program provides FREE clinical lactation services to low-income families in Sacramento County, ensuring expert breastfeeding support through phone, in-person, and home visits. However, due to a decrease in grant funding, our ability to serve families has been severely impacted, limiting lactation consultant hours and reducing access to essential care.

Without this program, many parents will struggle to access lactation support, leading to lower breastfeeding rates, poorer health outcomes, and increased disparities for low-income families. Private lactation consultations can cost over $200 per visit, an expense most cannot afford. Your donation helps sustain this critical service and ensures families continue receiving the support they need.
