Cole-I like project lifelong because I get to skate and have fun with my friends. I also met new people and got better at skating. The people there are very supportive  making a enjoyable  experience for anyone who likes skating or wants to learn how to skate.

Cloe- Yeah, I am a pro with the help of my dad trying to teach me in a local theater parking lot. OK not really, which is why I am glad I found Project Lifelong. It's a program where they teach all genders how to skate, and learn new things. They also make it really easy to learn them. They have new opportunities and are tying to make it so students are able to skate safely at schools. One problem, they need money, like a lot of money. Please help donate to Project Lifelong so they can continue work on this project, and help them allow skating at schools. Its a great place to make friends, have fun, and learn new things.

Parents- This is our second year with Project Lifelong. Our kids saw "skateboard at school", and were sold. They were unaware of the possibilities brought to them from Project Lifelong. This is not just a basic afterschool program that "watches" your children for a few hours. They really create a safe environment where not only do they support learning new skills, they encourage peer support while practicing.

Most of us remember while growing up that skateboarding was considered taboo, and was frowned upon to say the least. Project Lifelong is working diligently to break that stigma by sharing just how special the skating community is. They bring a safe place for our children to develop new skills, create friendships, and practice community involvement. It offers a program that doesn't end at of middle school. High Schoolers volunteer to help at the middle school locations.

We got to watch the kids participate. They set up some great ramps, that can be quite intimidating to new skaters, but the endless cheering from staff and peers is heard all over the campus. As parent we look forward to the positive impact these types interactions bring while raising self esteem and pushing our children to do the best they can.
