Patty's Fundraiser for Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run (GOTR) has been an active part of my life since I first discovered the organization in 2011. Over the years, I have been a Running Buddy, Coach, Mom of a GOTR girl and now in 2024 a Board Member of the Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento. 

First hand, I have seen the GOTR program getting girls physically healthy and mentally strong by proving life tools for handling tough choices, friendships, body image, and the everyday challenge of being a girl. My favorite part of GOTR is seeing the new friendships develop and everyone cheering for each other at the 5k! 

GOTR Greater Sacramento is committed to ensuring access for all participants, regardless of their financial situation (approximately 50% of our participants receive scholarships). In 2023, 700+ girls participated. We aim to serve more 2024, but I need your help! 

Here's what your contribution supports: 

$50    Provide new running shoes for one scholarship recipient (about 50% of girls receive scholarships) 

$100    Provide new running shoes for two scholarship recipients (about 50% of girls receive scholarships) 

$185    Sponsor a scholarship and running shoes for one girl who could not otherwise participate (about 50% of girls receive scholarships) 

$250    Provide materials, resources, training and support for our volunteer coaches    

$500    Supply healthy snacks for 5 teams for an entire season   

$750    Provide new running shoes for a team of 15 girls
