A GEM Gallery in our Community

As a  Board member of the Pence Gallery in Davis, I’m excited to support and celebrate the arts in our wonderful community. I truly believe in the gallery's mission to spark creativity, connect with diverse audiences, showcase the amazing talents of local artists, and provide educational opportunities for people of all ages. It warms my heart knowing I play a part in helping make the gallery a unique and welcoming space for everyone in our community.

This years BDOG fundraising goal of $30,000 will support the Pence in the following ways:-

Safety-Safeguard the Pence by upgrading the  front doors with an automatic lock feature and installing an ADA-complaint access button - $10,200

-Energy Cost Savings-Reduce energy costs by installing energy-saving blinds in the foyer - $2,400

-Increase Youth Education-Increase Art in Action from quarterly to monthly again - $6,000

-Operations Support-$18,000

As a board member, I feel a deep responsibility to advocate for increased funding and support for the gallery. I hear so many wonderful stories of artists who have found their voices, families who have experienced connection and belonging, and community members whose lives have been enriched through art.
