What is Hands4Hope? Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference is a nonprofit, youth lead organization that works in Sacramento and El Dorado Counties. Hands4Hope strives to mentor youth to learn strong leadership skills and teach about giving back to their local community.

Eadora's Story: I have been involved with Hands4Hope for five years now. I joined my freshman year in High School as a club member. I found a passion for giving back to my community and wanted to further my involvement with the club so I applied to leadership for the following school year. I served as the Public Relations Coordinator, Secretary, and Vice President for the Folsom High Club. Additonally, I served as the Public Relations Coordinator for the Youth Board. Today, I am a freshman in college pursuing a degree in nursing and am the marketing intern at Hands4Hope! Through these experiences, I learned how to work with my peers, plan projects, and so many more valuable skills that I still use today. Hands4Hope creates a positive environment for the youth to learn and serve for local communities and organizations in need. 

Eataney's Story: I joined Hands4Hope my freshman year to support my sister but I stayed because of the valuable lessons the projects have taught me. I served as Secretary my junior year and now serve as President as well as a member of the youth board. Over the past four years, Hands4Hope's curriculum has taught me project management, critical thinking, and most importantly professional communication. What I found most appealing about Hands4Hope was the community and the endless opportunities to get involved. Completing projects and seeing the gratitude of the benefitting organizations will always be reactions I remember because it reminds me that youth can truly make a difference when they receive the right support and mentorship which Hands4Hope has done.
