For the past 11 years, the GreenHouse has been a vital part of my life – first as a neighbor, then a volunteer, and for the last six years, as a proud board member.

When I reflect on my time with the GreenHouse, a quote from Shauna Niequist’s I Guess I Haven’t Learned That Yet often comes to mind: “Once you train your eyes for tiny glimpses of goodness, you’ll get better at seeing them, and you’ll see more and more and more. And they’ll keep you company and keep your heart tender as you long for daylight.” The GreenHouse has truly been a place where I've learned to see this goodness in action – in the dedication of the staff, the growth of the students, and the strength of the community.

I've been privileged to witness incredible initiatives like:

 * The internship program, empowering teens with skills in photography, design, recreation, and culinary arts.

 * Essential 1-on-1 tutoring and reading support for elementary students.

 * The beautiful cycle of community engagement, where former students return as staff and board members, and alumni now entrust their own children to the GreenHouse.

In a world where external forces can often create instability, the GreenHouse stands as a consistent and reliable source of support for the Gardenland/NorthGate community. It's a privilege to walk alongside them as they embody God's work in tangible ways.

On this Big Day of Giving, I invite you to join me in supporting the GreenHouse. Your contribution will help them continue to cultivate goodness and empower the community.

Want to learn more? I'd love to connect over coffee or a call to share more about the incredible impact of the GreenHouse and how you can be a part of it.
