Hands4Hope is a beacon of empowerment and generosity from community members, for community members. Based in the Sacramento and El Dorado Hills regions, this non-profit is dedicated to inspiring young people to serve and lead others. It has created a family of volunteers that works hard to give back everything they can to their communities. Fueled by YOUR support, Hands4Hope will continue to empower youth in their dedication to creating the world they want to see. Please help us by donating to spread our community even farther!
Heather's Story: Since joining the Board of Directors of Hands4Hope – Youth Making A Difference in January 2019, I most recently have had the honor of serving as Chair of the Board. My commitment to Hands4Hope stems from witnessing firsthand the profound impact this program has on youth. Through Hands4Hope, young people leave the program with increased confidence, a deep compassion for others, and essential leadership skills they may not have otherwise gained. These youth are truly awe-inspiring, and it’s a privilege to be part of their journeys.
What I find especially powerful is how Hands4Hope brings together young people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. This inclusivity creates a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment where all youth are encouraged to discover their unique passion and purpose. The opportunities this program provides are life-changing, and with your support, we can continue empowering these future leaders.

Carissa's Story: Hi I'm Carissa Pham and I am thrilled to be doing Big Day of Giving this year! I first got involved with Hands4Hope when I was a sixth grader with no experience volunteering. I was VERY timid, but wanted to join a club that seemed welcoming at my middle school, Rolling Hills. I was in awe of those leaders who spoke without any fear, and I knew I wanted to be part of something with such amazing people. I am currently a junior at Oak Ridge High School and have done so many different activities through Hands4Hope in my 6 years with them. My favorite is going to MAPS every week and spending time with special needs youth. Through all of the outreaches I've done, I have met amazing community members who make all the hard work worth it. I've also learned so many leadership skills, especially in my current role as secretary of the H4H Empower Club at Oak Ridge. This alone has given me the opportunity to develop confidence in public speaking and step into a leadership role I never would have had without Hands4Hope.
We want Hands4Hope to continue thriving so that future youth can have all the experiences I did and more! A donation on Big Day of Giving will not only support the current projects of Hands4Hope, but it will also pave the way for many more to come. Any donation helps bring us one step further to a bigger and brighter future for Hands4Hope and we appreciate everything!
