Heather's Fundraiser for RRUFF Healing Heroes

In 2023, I had the privilege to join the board for RRUFF Healing Heroes.  With my love for dogs, and the respect I have for so many people in my life who've pledge their careers to serving our country and community, RRUFF was the perfect way for me to make an impact that is so immediately needed. 

This year, I'm raising $2,500 for RRUFF Healing Heroes, an organization that funds service dog training for veterans and first responders battling PTSD and other invisible disabilities in the Sacramento/Placer County area. These incredible service dogs become lifelines for heroes struggling with the aftermath of their service.

The statistics are heartbreaking: 17 American veterans die by suicide each day, and more first responders lose their lives to suicide than on duty. RRUFF is fighting these statistics "1 Hero & 1 Dog at a Time" by providing:

• Service dog training with qualified trainers
• Funding for dog acquisition
• Veterinary services including spaying/neutering and vaccinations
• Additional wellness activities including peer support programs

Your donation will directly impact the lives of those who've sacrificed for our safety and freedom. Help me reach my $2,5000 goal to support these heroes on their journey to healing and recovery.
