My name is Jeff Rogers and I am playing in the 2024 Capital Cup in support of UCP of Sacramento and Northern California. I love golf (and playing barefoot) and supporting UCP.

UCP of Sacramento and Northern California has a special place in my heart. They work year-around to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities are recognized for their special abilities, are active members of our community, and sure the individuals they support know that they are important.   As a current Board Member for UCP of Sacramento and Northern California, I know the valuable work that they do providing services for over 3,000 individuals every month through their 14 programs in four program divisions. The program divisions include Family Respite, Adult Programs, Transportation, and Recreation.

I am honored this year to represent UCP in the L5 Capital Cup, a three-day golf tournament that raises over $1 Million every year for 30 nonprofits in our community.

Why golf and the Capital Cup – besides my love of the game?   UCP launched a golf program last year! They have been providing monthly golf lessons and have partnered with great community partners to ensure that I may have some tough competition on the greens next year, in addition to all the amazing work they do every day to ensure life without limits for people with disabilities.   Check out some photos!

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of others!

About the Capital Cup:
The Capital Cup adapts the historic Ryder Cup format—steeped in tradition—to promote community pride, healthy competition, and raise money for the Sacramento region’s most deserving charities. Each year, leaders from the Sacramento region are divided into two teams for an exciting 3-day golf competition. Donors have the opportunity to support their favorite player (or their favorite charity), as each player is competing to benefit his or her favorite charitable organization. The winning team's designated charities share a prize fund of $100,000! The tournament started with the ambitious goal of raising $250,000 in its first year. When it well surpassed that goal, the tournament committee raised the bar, and has continued to do so every year since—and every year, the participating golfers exceed expectations. The Capital Cup has raised more than $15 million over its history.
