HEC's work is critical because it gives people hope that they CAN reach wellness and fulfilling lives. Unfortunately, not everyone in our communities have the same access to the resources they need to live a healthy life. HEC helps to get them closer to existing resources and we create resources and services that fill crucial community needs.

Have you ever been in a tough situation? It can get very dark if you feel isolated from others and from support services. HEC is there to let everyone in our Sacramento region know that they are not alone. HEC reaches some of our most vulnerable community members including refugees, immigrants, youth, older adults, and caregivers.

The work I do at HEC makes me feel connected to others. As cheesy as it might sound, it makes me feel connected to humanity, to earth, to living.
