How can I have an impact in my community?  

In 1993, I was in the World Trade Center when the lunch time bombs hit.  I spent several hours getting down the stairway. Many thoughts went through my mind during this harrowing event.  Many prayers, much gratitude for my children, and a renewed understanding of the power of community led me to a life of giving back.

I became involved in organizations that dealt with children in need, and have remained a passionate supporter for over 30 years now.  About ten years ago, I became involved with CASA El Dorado as a Board member, donor and volunteer.  Child Advocates of El Dorado County (CASA) is so important to our community through its support and empowerment of the abused, neglected and at risk youth in our community. Many people believe these  types of organizations are fully government funded, and though that’s a part of our budget, the financial support of the community is essential to the work that we do every day.
