The Children's Receiving Home provides intensive therapy and residential care for kids and teens facing mental-health crises in the Sacramento region and beyond. We provide residential care to traumatized foster youth with behavioral health issues who may have nowhere else to go. We also provide day therapy to other youths in crisis who could face hospitalization for their issues without our services.
Our licensed clinicians and other trained staff cultivate the resilience and self-sufficiency of our children and teens, preparing them to lead healthy, productive lives. Our clients range from traumatized preschoolers to at-risk young adults.
Donatations provide supplies for art and play therapy, for decorating dorms and for outings beyond our six-acre campus. As state funding dwindles even for foster youths with behavioral health issues, donations help ensure the 80-year-old Children's Receiving Home will continue to serve these and other vulnerable youth in crisis in our region.
