Tammy’s Big Day of Giving for MOW Yolo

Greetings Friends!  Big Day of Giving is upon us and I'm asking you to include Meals on Wheels Yolo County (MOW Yolo) in your BDOG philanthropy. As a newer appointed MOW Board Member and meal delivery driver, it is because of the organization's mission, vision and values that I choose to support MOW Yolo with my time and my financial support.

MOW Yolo has served local seniors in need of nutritional support for nearly 50 years. Today, MOW Yolo nourishes more than 1,000 food insecure, seniors countywide.

This is less than 12% of the senior population estimated to be food insecure in Yolo County. Our goal is to nourish thousands more seniors in need of consistent nutrition and social contact. 

Your support on this Big Day of Giving is the link that connects MOW Yolo's actions with healthier outcomes for vulnerable, isolated aging adults in our community.  Yolo County thrives only when all residents are nourished, especially our elders.

Every $50 provides a vulnerable Yolo County senior citizen with five hot and frozen healthy meals for a week.  How many seniors will you assist, for how many weeks?  At $2,500, you've nourished a local senior for a year!
