The California Black Health Network’s (CBHN) “Campaign for Black Health Equity” is a multi-year initiative that leads health equity, policy, advocacy, and programmatic initiatives that tackle structural and systemic racism; address social determinants of health; dismantle barriers to quality, affordable, and equitable healthcare; and close the gap in health disparities for Black Californians.
Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we take action and work collectively to improve health outcomes, close the gap in health disparities, and advance health equity for all Black Californians. Together, we can address the root causes of health inequities, such as social determinants of health, race-based medicine practices, and structural barriers within the healthcare system to improve access, reform healthcare, and create community-oriented solutions that alleviate barriers Black Californians face in getting their basic needs met.
