Project Lifelong is doing important work to teach girls, boys, and non-binary kids how to skateboard. This year we have over 40 Skate Nights scheduled for middle schoolers across 3 locations, as well as 6+ outdoor and skate trips planned for our high school leadership group, Team Lifelong. We already have 100 middle and high school kids enrolled in Project Lifelong programs this spring!
Your donations will directly support our 3 skate night sites, Team Lifelong camping trips, and expanding our programs to more schools.
The past year of working skate nights and taking Team Lifelong on trips has been an amazing experience! I am still so grateful for this opportunity to build a supportive space for middle school kids to learn how to skateboard. Our Skate Nights give them a chance to escape their worries and just have fun learning new things and making friends!
It has also been so rewarding taking Team Lifelong on trips in return for all of their volunteer hours. In 2022 we took them on skate trips to Reno/Truckee and Santa Cruz, hiking with ICO in Lassen, and also went on many more local skate trips.
None of these trips would be possible without donations and support from our community. Program costs for each participant are approximately $375/semester, but we only charge them a registration fee of $25 (or $10 if they qualify for free or reduced lunch). It is important to us that our programs are affordable for everyone! So in turn please help us fund our programs so we can continue to do this important work.
