$2,100 goal

6 weekly sessions of Social Emotional Educational Development (SEED) held weekly at a local school in the Sacramento, CA area. This SEED program uses Role-playing as Development and Board gaming as Development in an effort to provide a safe environment for participants to learn social emotional skills in a fun, constructive, and interactive manner.

This will allow three Sacramento, CA area Schools in need to have between 6 and 35 students get some good information and begin to learn what some important Social Emotional skills are.

Social emotional skills that are focused on:

- Emotional Awareness (identifying emotions in self and others, understanding prejudices and biases, compassion)

- Emotional Management (responding to challenges, “good sport” competitive spirit, using stress management strategies, organizational skills)

- Collaboration (problem solving, strategy, decision making)

- Communication (assertiveness skills, turn-taking, respectful interactions, resisting negative social pressure)

- Divergent thinking (seeking help, goals beyond winning, accountability, situationism and self monitoring)

Once funded the classes and schools will be chosen and classes will begin.
