In The Heart Of Downtown...

The Pence Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Davis.  And for me, due to its location, the gallery plays a foundational role in building community and maintaining a vibrant city center.  The Pence is free of admission and open every afternoon 6 days per week Tuesday- Sunday and also 2nd Friday evenings. An essential area of community-connectedness can be art and the gallery is a space where the power of art and art education can serve to connect us all.  The beautiful light-filled gallery is a welcoming environment where people can visit, gather and exchange ideas--- all of which is uniquely aided and inspired by art.

 I love being a member of the team of volunteers, staff, board members & supporters who work industriously and with heartfelt determination to offer programs such as Healing Arts, 2nd Friday ArtAbout and ArtSmart.  I invite you to stop by the Pence to experience not only the potential stress-relieving healthful benefits that art can promote (think heart-healthy!) but also the energy of a nonprofit striving to do good work for its local community and the region at large.  

 This Big Day of Giving we are fundraising for much needed building safety upgrades to better serve our visitors & staff. We are also fundraising for our children’s ArtSmart classes to increase offering them from quarterly to monthly classes again.
