Assist us in increasing the impacts of high school youth in developing career skills necessary for caring for our environment and agricultural lands. Support the Center for Land-Based Learning's SLEWS Academy program (Student and Landowner Education and Watershed Stewardship).

SLEWS Academy trains educators and professionals at partner organizations throughout California on how to replicate the SLEWS field day program model in their county with their local students. We are the only organization doing multiple field days with high school students at the same project site over the course of their school year. This way students have ownership over a project, see their impact over the seasons, and develop skills in agricultural and environmental sustainability. Each SLEWS program encompasses leadership, community, college and career readiness, and is hands-on at a real-world project site. It includes native plantings, habitat restoration, irrigation installation, educational, leadership, and career practice activities, and more. This model assists high school youth in being well rounded and prepared for adulthood and career opportunities in the environmental and agricultural fields.

Let's lift up the number of students, schools, partner organizations, and land sites, engaging in the SLEWS programs through SLEWS Academy training!
