2020 may be the strangest year in our lifetimes, but fear not, Sol's Ragnar-ish event is coming to the rescue! What could be a better cure for stir craziness and cabin fever than running 15+ miles for a non-stop two-day relay race and spending a sleepless night in a crammed van?

Just kidding. This year's "Ragnar-ish" will be different. Like everything in 2020.

This event will be open to everyone!

Don't like running? Then bike, walk, kayak or scoot your way to your goal and do it wherever you may be. Distance not your thing? Then show off your interpretive dance moves. Every activity counts where you can challenge yourself and can contribute to reaching our collective goal.

And to recognize the unprecedented hardship our communities are experiencing, we'll also be fundraising this year. Although we  are based in Washington, DC, Sol has a strong tie to California through its projects and people. In 2016, the Sol team chose to venture out west to run the Ragnar Relay from San Francisco to Napa experiencing firsthand the beauty that the West has to offer. Unfortunately, much of that beauty has been burned in recent years or is currently burning due to the significant wildfires that are consuming that part of our country. In an effort to combine our passion for combating climate change with giving back to a place a lot of Solsters call “home,” the Sol team has chosen to donate any funds raised to the California Fire Foundation to support our west coast comrades as they bounce back from these devastating weather events. So, reach out to family, friends, or yourself to sponsor your miles, minutes, or moves, so that we can help support these communities.
