Empower GIRLS

G.I.R.L.S Rock Sacramento challenges gender stereotypes, encourages collaboration and tolerance among peers, and provides a safe place for girls, non-binary, and gender-expansive youth to express themselves through music.

We believe that creativity, positivity, and community are key elements of personal and collective empowerment and positive social change. Our summer day camps are week-long programs for girls 7-17. Campers attend instrument lessons, rehearse in a band, collaboratively write an original song, participate in daily music and empowerment-related workshops and activities, and perform with their bands at a live showcase at the end of the week.

G.I.R.L.S Rock Sacramento is fully committed to welcoming a diverse group of campers and amplifying the voices of those who need it most. Our tuition and sliding scale programs help ensure racial, economic and cultural diversity. People of color, neurodiverse and differently-abled people are encouraged to apply.
