I am asking for your help to support Placer Artists Tour.
Nicholson Blown Glass (now known as Nicholson van Altena Glass) has participated in the Placer Artists Tour since its inception 31 years ago so the Tour is very close to my heart. We are grateful that the Tour has connected us with local artists and collectors over the years and helped us build our career in the arts. Many faithful visitors continue to visit our studio and others in Placer County.
The Tour exists because of you.
Now with Hannah and Alana leading the glass blowing, I can fully appreciate what the Tour has brought to our community, both culturally and economically. I currently serve as Co-Chair.
We celebrated 30 years of the Tour in 2023. Over two weekends last November we presented 83 locations throughout Placer County – featuring 116 visual artists, 17 galleries and art schools, and 20 musicians. This free Tour reaches throughout our region and well beyond.
The Tour is a tradition that enriches our lives and supports a valuable creative community. Last year the economic impact to our local economy included $451,000 in direct sales of art and many purchases from local shops and restaurants.
