$10,000 Goal

WarmLine Family Resource Center has been serving families since 1990 by providing information, education, and support to promote and strengthen the foundation of families and children who have disabilities or who are at risk for having disabilities or special needs. WarmLine also collaborates with and supports the community of professionals that work with and serve families with disabilities and special needs.

Staffed by parents of children who have special needs, our staff are responsive to the needs and challenges of parents raising a child with special needs/disabilities. Staff are trained and experienced with navigating complex service systems. Our guiding principles are:
- All children with disabilities will live with a supported family and fully participate within their communities.
- Families are the best experts on what they need and the constant in their child's life.
- Services and supports should be flexible.
- Information should be available when parents need it and when it is relevant to their family and child.
- The family's needs will best be met when services and supports build on the family's strengths, respect cultural preferences, values, and unique lifestyles.
- Families and the community will benefit from the inclusion of people of all ages and abilities.

Each year, WarmLine supports more than 1,000 families in the greater Sacramento County including Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, Nevada, El Dorado, and Alpine counties.
