Thank you for giving to local causes!
During the Sacramento Region Community Foundation's Big Day of Giving 2024, nonprofits in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties raised $13.2 million dollars, bringing the total generated since the inception of this annual giving day to over $100 million!*
“Our neighbors throughout the Sacramento region rallied around the causes that do so much good right here in our community. They demonstrated once again that generosity runs deep in our community — now and since our community's first giving day twelve years ago. More than $100 million dollars later, it remains true that every single dollar given is a boost to this community and the vital work of local nonprofits,” said our chief executive, Kerry Wood.
Donations were received by 826 of the nonprofits involved — the most to ever participate, demonstrating this event’s importance to the capital region’s social sector. Donors helped participating nonprofits secure more than $1 million in matches and, thanks to lead sponsor Western Health Advantage, receive more than 250 prizes throughout the day!
