ACCIS, a volunteer-run organization in Sacramento is committed to facilitating the successful integration of immigrants and refugees into the community. These individuals often encounter substantial barriers such as language difficulties, job search challenges, and cultural adjustment issues, which can result in feelings of disconnection and identity confusion. To address these complexities, ACCIS offers tailored programs like Referral Services, Women and Youth Empowerment, and Cultural Integration Activities, designed to support integration while preserving cultural identity.

The process of adapting to a new community can be daunting, particularly when faced with unfamiliar systems. ACCIS's Referral Services program aims to alleviate these challenges by providing essential assistance in areas such as employment, healthcare access, and immigration support.

Empowering women is fundamental for the overall well-being of families and societies. Through our Women Empowerment Program, we connect skilled women with entrepreneurial opportunities, offering training workshops and consultations to enhance their economic prospects and positively impact their communities.

The Youth & Children Enrichment Program is dedicated to supporting immigrant and refugee youth, empowering them to thrive and contribute positively to their communities. This initiative emphasizes inclusivity and aims to ensure that every child can achieve their full potential.

ACCIS's Community Involvement Program plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment for immigrants and refugees in Sacramento to support their integration. By collaborating with other organizations and actively participating in community events, we celebrate diversity and contribute to the well-being of Arab immigrants, thereby building a strong and inclusive community.

The impact of ACCIS extends beyond the individuals we serve. By providing a supportive environment and essential services, we empower individuals to overcome obstacles, find their place within the community, and maintain their cultural heritage. This empowerment creates a ripple effect that resonates throughout Sacramento and beyond.

Supporting ACCIS is not merely about aiding newcomers in settling into Sacramento; it is about recognizing the interconnectedness of global communities. By supporting Arab refugees and immigrants in Sacramento, we support them in aiding their extended families and friends in regions facing humanitarian challenges. This interconnectedness emphasizes the importance of solidarity and cross-border support, demonstrating our collective ability to effect positive change in the lives of others.

Your ongoing support will enable us to sustain and expand our programs, reaching more individuals within our community.

Needs

ACCIS seeks financial support to sustain and expand our vital programs for newcomers in Sacramento. Your contribution will impact both our operational and programmatic needs, ensuring the continuation of our impactful initiatives.

Operational Needs:

1. Full-time Office Manager: We need to hire a full-time Office Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

2. Full-time Grant and Fundraising Specialist: A full-time Grant and Fundraising Specialist is important to drive impactful campaigns and engage sponsors effectively.

3. Office Space: We need to cover a fraction of our office space costs, approximately $500 a month, to allow us to provide services in a stable environment.

4. T-shirts Donations: Asking for T-shirts to customize printing with our logo to help volunteers stand out at events for people to identify us easily.

Program Needs:

1. Volunteer Compensation: Providing partial compensation for valued volunteers who prepare and deliver trainings for the Women and Children programs is important and fosters a sense of appreciation and support.

2. Volunteer Incentives and Mileage Reimbursement: We want to provide incentives and reimburse volunteers for mileage, as a way of recognizing their dedication and contribution.

3. Workshop Supplies: For all our activities and workshops we need to purchase supplies and materials to ensure their effectiveness and impact.
